Where many polyurethanes except Protect are oil based and go on stained wood and oil painted furniture polycrylic is water based and can go on wood or paint. From cabinets to furniture and food safe surfaces like a butcher block there are a wide variety of options when choosing a clear coat for wood projects. I have used these on a few pieces.
